Amy Fischer, BSW, MSW, LCSW

Amy Fischer will be accepting new clients in January 2019.  She is currently full for 2018.


Amy Fischer, BSW, MSW, LCSW founded MindOasis Counseling in Peoria, IL in 2014.  She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of counseling experience.  She has been certified and trained in several therapeutic modalities such as, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to heal the mind, heart, and spirit.  She specializes in treating women.  She is an expert in treating postpartum depression/anxiety, birth trauma, healing painful childhood wounds/trauma, grief from any sort of relationship loss or change, improving self-esteem, teaching strategies to help clients manage their depression or anxiety, and providing parents with strategies for effective parenting.  

Susan Sparks, BSW, MSW, LCSW

She is now accepting female and male adolescents ages 3-18.  She is also accepting parents who could use parental guidance and techniques.


Susan Sparks, BSW, MSW, LCSW has worked with children of all ages in various settings for the past thirty years.  She also works with both female and male adults.  She received her LCSW in 2013. Susan has been a school social worker since 2011, delivering social emotional therapies to children in a school setting. Susan works with children, young adults, individuals and families using a life approach tailored to the unique needs of each person.  She believes that each person is capable of overcoming the challenges they face with the guidance they need. She believes everyone no matter what age has strengths that they can draw on. She offers support for individuals to overcome obstacles and to realize their potential to live fulfilling happy lives.  Susan uses therapeutic strategies to help with behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and anger management to name a few. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practice and Holistic Therapies.
